Aubrey “Wade” Sanford, 64, entered eternal rest on January 3, 2020. He was born on April 30, 1955 in Houston, Texas and started working in construction after graduating from New Caney High School. In 1981 he started working as a Police Officer with Houston Airport Police Department and shortly after he was promoted to Sergeant and met his wife. He retired from the Houston Police Department in May of 2016. He has been married for 31 years and to this union, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
Wade was a member of the Houston Police Officers Retirement Association. You could find Wade fishing, hunting, and researching Bigfoot. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Watsey Sanford. Left to cherish his memory, loving wife Terri Sanford; mother Juanita Sanford; daughter Brandi Sanford; sons: Austin Sanford and Adam Sanford; grandchildren: Kalli Sanford and Lexus Sanford; sister Ronda Brown. The family would like to give a very special thanks to Richard Tullis and Charles Garmond.
Visitation for family and friends will begin on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:30am. All services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Fwy. Houston, Texas 77039 Interment to follow immediately after the funeral service in Brookside Memorial Park.
