He was born March 8, 1937 in Noxubee County, Mississippi, in a logging camp. Pinky was the son of the late John Harvey and Laurice V. Alford Morris.
Pinky was one of eleven children. Preceded in death by brothers, J.W. Morris, Kenneth (K.P.) Morris, Bill Morris, Jim Morris, Donald Morris and sisters, Ara Lou Myers and Maxine Garrett.
He is survived by his son and wife, Mark Morris and Leslie; daughter, Marcy Davis; grandchildren, Halie Morris, Mia Morris, Jade Davis, Blake Davis, and Jordan Davis; brothers, Gary Morris, Jodie H. (Joe) Morris, and sister, Rhydonna Pitts.
Pinky graduated from high school in Malvern Arkansas, served as a medical supply specialist in the Air Force Reserves, and attended San Jacinto College for real estate. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Lee Construction/ Gulf Ports Crating/ Morris Export Services for more than 50 years.
He had a passion for Razorback football, Houston Sports, Whataburger, Luby’s, and his grandchildren. He also was an avid donor to the Houston Police 100 club.
Pinky is preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn (Cookie) Morris and newborn son, Rodney Lee. Survived by Joan Morris Pennington, in marriage for 30 years; 1964-1997.

Pinky will lay in eternal rest at Forest Park Lawndale next to Cookie and newborn son.
