Arthur Philip Wang, born January 8, 1948, in Orange, Texas, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was a beloved husband and father, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and service. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy (Landry) Wang, his daughter Dorothy Leahy, his son Philip H. Wang, his brother William Wang, son-in-law John Leahy and his grandson Jackson Arthur Leahy.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Redfearn, mother, Eula Mae Wang, and father, Philip Wang.
Arthur graduated from Port Allen High School and served honorably in the US Army. From there he studied political science and was a student athlete in the track-and-field and cross-country programs at Louisiana State University. He served his country as an investigator for the US Department of Immigration and Naturalization Service. Following his retirement he then dedicated his time as a substitute teacher in Humble ISD, touching the lives of many students. He volunteered with area nonprofits, including Work Faith Connection, Bridges to Life, and the Prison Entrepreneurship Program.
Arthur was beloved by many friends and family members. He enjoyed many hobbies including sports and photography. Having a deep passion for nature and the outdoors he especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to cook and connect with family and friends. A man of great faith, his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
