Arthur Edward Bayer, 92 years of age, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Sring, Texas. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Lela Mae Bayer. He is survived by his son Donald Bayer and wife Colette; daughter: Theresa Mullins and her husband James; grandchildren: Amanda Bayer, Donny Bayer, Ben Charlton, and Leslie Charlton; and beloved great-granddaughter: Clover Grace Bayer. Arthur was a member of Spring Masonic Lodge for 60 years. He was one of the 75 heroes of the 75th anivesary of S.I.S.D. Also, he was a founding member of Spring Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the original board of directors of Security Bank in Spring. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20th at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Arthur's Life will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21st at the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ.
