Arsenio Rodriguez

Arsenio Rodriguez del Abra would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place called heaven, the place of perfect happiness and one of his greatest joys will be the reunion with his wife Yolanda.

Mr. Arsenio Rodriguez del Abra passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday July 12, 2016.

Mr. Rodriguez was born December 17, 1931 in Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico, he was 84 years old. Arsenio was united in marriage to Yolanda Elizondo on September 8, 1951 in Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico. They were married for 64 blissful years.

Arsenio had such a big heart, spirit and personality. He was strong, focused, wise, a great story teller and fueled by a need to be his own man which he accomplished in countless ways until the very end. He enjoyed music, eating the delicious food his wife made and spending time with all of his family. The sound of his laugh and voice will not soon be forgotten.

Arsenio is survived by his children Carolina R. Medellin and her spouse Jose Javier Medellin, Cesar Rodriguez and his spouse Rosa E. Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez and his spouse Marbella Rodriguez, Arsenio Rodriguez and his spouse Emma D. Rodriguez, Adelaida R. Sepulveda and her spouse Joseph Steven Sepulveda, Alejandro E. Rodriguez and his spouse Ana M. Rodriguez, Marco A. Rodriguez and his spouse Maria E. Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez and his spouse Ana M. Rodriguez, Jorge D. Rodriguez and his spouse Janie A. Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez and his spouse Connie Rodriguez, 35 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Amparo Rodriguez del Abra, Agustin Rodriguez del Abra, and Josefina Rodriguez del Abra. Preceded by death, his parents Esteban Rodriguez Velasquez and Adelaida del Abra Lopez, and brother Enrique Rodriguez del Abra.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2016 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Forest Park Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas 77023.
