With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Armando Torres, who peacefully departed this life at 1:27 am on February 8th, 2024, at his home in Humble, Texas, at the age of 67. His journey concluded after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer and a lengthy struggle with diabetes. Armando's final moments were graced by the loving presence of his devoted wife and cherished family members.
Born on May 20, 1956, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, to Jose and Catarina Torres, Armando lived a life rich in love and shared memories. He shared 45 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Antonia Torres, who was his steadfast companion until the end.
Armando leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his devoted wife, Antonia Torres, and their two adoring children, Jessica Zamora and Miguel Garcia. He also leaves behind a treasured lineage of five grandchildren: Yvette Ayodoro, Christopher Garcia, Yaretci Ayodoro, Eric Garcia, and Yareli Zamora, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.
In addition to his family, Armando had a deep passion for cars, particularly Corvettes, though he cherished the five Camaros he owned throughout his lifetime. He had a knack for bringing laughter into the lives of his loved ones and found immense pleasure in indulging in his favorite pastime—snacking.
Armando will be dearly missed by all who knew him, remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family. May his spirit live on in the cherished memories he leaves behind.
A viewing service in memory of Armando will be held on February 15, 2024 from 6pm-9pm. A funeral service will occur February 16, 2024 at 10:30am-11:30am followed by the burial from 11:30am-12:00pm. All of these services will occur at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Tx 77309.
