Arlene L. Juarez

While Arlene earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at University of Phoenix, she also worked as a payroll administrator for HCCSCD for 23 years before retiring in 2012 and was a devoted mother to her four girls.

In her younger years Arlene liked to dance, listen to music and go to concerts. She often participated in walk-a-thons for March Of Dimes. Arlene enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, especially during the holidays with her famous broccoli rice and cheese casserole. Arlene was a big fan of road trips and “crusin’.” Arlene loved online shopping and kept Amazon afloat. During her free time she enjoyed getting her nails done, watching cooking shows, the ID network (or as she called it, the Kill Your Husband Channel) and Law and Order marathons. Mrs. Big Love was known for a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Most of all, Arlene loved being a grandma to her AvaRoo and Butters.

The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone for their kind words, condolences and the support they've received during this difficult time.

Arlene is preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Garcia; father, Gilbert Ramos Sr.; and brother, Gilbert Ramos Jr.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Benito Juarez. Daughters, Avery, Aubry, Ariana, and Analisa. Grandchildren, Ava and Armando Jr. Sisters, Anita, Amanda, and Alissa. She was a cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Arlene will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Monday, March 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
