ANTONIO G. VELA, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Antonio was proud of his company, Tony & Son Trim & Cabinet Contractors, working side by side with his son, Armando.He was a friend to many, loved telling jokes & Sunday Barbecues with his family. He was so proud of his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments.Antonio is preceded in death by his son, Jose Antonio Vela; daughter, Martha Gutierrez. Left to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 66 yrs, Maria A. Vela; brother, Eleuterio Vela; son, Armando Vela (Sylvia); daughters: Rosemary Vela, Leticia V. Zapata (Arthur), Sandra V. Chapa (Roy), Norma Vela, Dora E. Vela; 26 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous other loving family and friends.Visitation will be from 4-9PM with a Rosary being recited at 7PM on Monday, June 21st. Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, June 22nd at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park
