He was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on December 4th 1971 to Abelardo Antonio Menzies and Alma Isabel Menzies. He was with his wife Heather Menzies for 30 years . They raised 2 children of their own and a niece; Michael and Danielle Menzies and Alora Dravis. Antonio worked in the transportation industry for 29 years. He had worked for CPC Logistics for the past 4 years.
When Antonio first arrived in the United States in 1983, he lived with his Aunt Betty in Miami, Florida. He then later moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia with his mother. This is where he would graduate from Bayside High School. He had a passion for old Pontiac cars. He loved to restore and race them at the motor sports drag strips everywhere. His first date with his wife was at a car show in the Haygood Shopping Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia where later he was a member of the GTO car club. Every weekend he would cruise around in his blue ’68 Pontiac GTO with his kids, Michael and Danielle. Sharing his passion with hopes that one day it would take root and blossom in his kids gave him great joy. He also lived in Port Orange, Florida where he continued his racing of his 1963 Pontiac Lemans and cruising around in a 1963 Pontiac Tempest.
The family moved to Katy, Texas to be closer to his mom. There he took the family on the weekends to car shows and the sports track in Sealy, Texas and even spoke of owning a family operated sports track of his own. He was a member of the Pontiac Club.
Antonio was someone who to the best that he could would always try to help those who are in need. That was just his nature.
He was preceded in death by stepfather, Richard Greenhouse, and sister in law, Bonnie Dravis.
He is survived by his wife Heather Menzies, son Michael Menzies, daughter Danielle Menzies, and his niece Alora Dravis who joined his immediate family when she was 2 ½ years old.
