Our beloved husband, dad, and brother, Antonio Cano Jr. (Tony, or “T”), 64, passed away unexpectantly surrounded by his loving family on January 10, 2013, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Tony was born on July 22, 1948 to Parents, Antonio Cano Sr. and Susie Jimenez Cano, who preceded him in death. Survivors include his Wife, Mary Vasquez Cano; Sisters, Rose Mary Cano Gonzales and husband, Jesse Gonzales and Cynthia Cano Flores and husband, Bill Flores; Children, Jason Cano and wife, Annette Cano; Michelle Caballero and husband, Frank Caballero; Nathan Cano and Nicholas Cano; His cherished Grandchildren, Joshua Cano, Alayna Cano, Frank Caballero, Michael Caballero, Mark Caballero, Fabian Cano, and Alexa Cano; Cherished Great-Grandchild Bella Love Caballero; As well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and friends. Tony was a devoted and loving man who only on December 15, 2012, lost his beloved Mother, Susie, whom her cared for with great love and dedication. We are thankful that they are together again. He was so proud of his family and the generations of Grandchildren and Great-Grandchild and they will continue to carry his legacy for years to come. He will be so greatly missed by all who loved him. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the entire Memorial Hermann Hospital staff, especially the MICU Cullen Unit for the excellent care and compassion given to our Dad.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 in the Main Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2013 in the Main Chapel and guests and family will leave in a formal procession to attend the funeral mass that will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2405 Navigation Boulevard Houston, TX 77003. Interment will follow via escorted cortege in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
