Tony was born August 10th, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Thomas and Lena (Mumfre) Bazile. He attended St. Thomas High School class of 1949 where he was the Quarterback of the football team.
For the past 25 years he lived and traveled with his loving companion Sue (Susie) Richardson. He was employed as a Real Estate Agent/Landlord for many years. He was an avid golfer and played almost weekly through 2019. He also enjoyed following both college & NFL football teams and loved to talk about how the games went each weekend with his son and grandsons.
He served the United States Navy on the USS Rendova during the Korean War. At one point during his tour, his aircraft carrier took part in tests involving the first hydrogen bomb. He also loved the Yo-Yo and would fascinate his children with his skills. He was actively involved in supporting Special Olympics.
Tony is survived by his brother Thomas M. Bazile and his children Anthony Bazile II (Kathy), Gina Emerson, his step daughter Kathryn Maust, his grandchildren Anthony Bazile III (Stephanie), Jared Bazile (Shelby), Derick Bazile, John Emerson and great grandchildren Angelina, Wyatt, Carson and soon to be Cambria. Also surviving are Susie’s daughters Clara (Steve) & Sue Ellen, her grandchildren Davis, Clara, Britt and Sue Anne.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his companion Sue Richardson. Also preceding are his Uncle and Aunt Leo & Jane Bertucci; plus, his ex-wife & mother to his children Icylene Bazile Smith and his step son Randy Maust.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 29th at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St. Houston TX 77023. A reception will follow immediately. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics Texas.
