Anselmo "Sam" Zuniga

He was born in Houston, TX on December 2, 1939. Sam Zuniga graduated from Reagan High School. He was married to Dru Zuniga for 29 years. Sam Zuniga had a career in Piping Design for multiple engineering companies. He retired in 2000. He had a passion for painting, drawing, socializing with friends and family, loved to dance, and enjoyed 7 day cruises out of Galveston. He had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger, and could talk to talk to the CEO of a company or a homeless person without judgement. He always had a smile and loved to joke around.

He is survived by his wife: Dru Zuniga of Houston; Son: Mark Zuniga and wife Jessica of Cypress; Grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew, and Lauren Zuniga; Stepchildren: Jamie Coker and husband Travis of Nederland, Texas; Jessica Williams and husband RD of Nederland, Texas; Grandchildren: Haley, Trent, and Reese Coker; Grandchildren: Cora, Carly, Crimson, and Corbin Williams; Sister: Mary Gil of Houston; He is also survived by various cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Travis Coker, Trent Coker, RD Williams, Andrew Zuniga, Matthew Zuniga, Eddie Cook, Richard Gutierrez, and Raymond Gutierrez.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 10:00AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Committal services to be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, 12:30 at Houston National Cemetery.
