1920-2015
Annie Jane Ammons Puryear, 94, of Deer Park passed away on November 28, 2015. She was born on December 30, 1920 in Caddo, Oklahoma. Annie was a long time member of Memorial Baptist Church of Pasadena where she attended regularly in her younger days. Before her eyesight failed she read her Bible for hours each day. Annie is preceded in death by her parents, brother Eugene Ammons, three sisters; Hughline Champion, Odessa Hendricks and Johnie Ruth Lansford, her husband of 45 years, William Seamore Puryear and her only son Billy who passed away October 30, 1991. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Lois Hayes, daughter-in-law, Donna Puryear Powell, grandchildren; James, Don & John Puryear and Jeanna Nelson and husband, Baron, great grandchildren; Samantha and James David Puryear, and Matthew & Melanie Nelson, as well as one great great Grandchild Kimber Quinn born November 21, 2015. Also left behind are numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 5-9PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10AM and the interment will immediately follow. All services will take place at Forest Park Lawndale.
