Annie Joyce Allen

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friendAnnie Joyce Allen (Big Annie) was called home to rest surrounded by family on May 10, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Ms. Annie Joyce Allen was born November 2, 1950 (the fifth of six children) in Schulenburg, Texas. Annie was a caring mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend who loved her family with all her heart. She loved spending time with her family. Whenever you came around Annie will always say "hey honey, how is your day" with a big smile. She loved to smell good and would always ask for some perfume. When she was in the company of her sister, Evelyn, they were both comedians. She loved listening to BB King and Johnny Taylor. She would laugh and be happy more than anything. Annie's beautiful smile, love for the Lord and her family will continue to live with us. She will truly be missed. Annie was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Ervin Earl and Gladys Oliver Thomas, brothers: Alfred Earl Edwards and Henry Adams, Jr. Annie leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons, Maurice Thomas and Kenneth Allen; daughters, Annie Allen-Robinson, II (Curtis) and Tammy Felix (Hendrick); brother, William Penn; sisters, Evelyn Cassell and Judy Thomas; Sixteen grandchildren. Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and lifelong friends.
