Anna Maria (Rodriguez) Oviedo was born on March 1, 1956, and she went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents Francisco Rodriguez, Herlinda Rodriguez, and nephew Raymond Navarro, Jr.
Anna is survived by her two sisters, Rosa (Armando) Saenz and Frances (Raymond) Navarro; stepfather, Pedro Salinas; stepbrothers, Frank and Peter Salinas; stepsister, Jeannie Perry; two nieces, Melissa (Jesse) Aguirre and Jennifer (Charlie) Iberri; a nephew, Armando Jr. (Maria) Saenz; great nieces, Jodie, Jaycie, and Charlie; great nephews, JW, Diego, and Keanu; and a host of extended family and friends.
She graduated from Houston Technical Institute March 31, 1974. Then, after 34 years as a Human Resources Assistant, she retired from the City of Houston.
Anna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She cherished her weekly Bible study group sessions. She attended Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and Sagemont Church in Houston. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and classic television shows like I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Dick Van Dyke Show.
Anna will always be remembered for giving much of herself to others.
A visitation for Anna will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home . A prayer service will be held Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale .
