Anna M. Colburn Brown Gandy, born June 12, 1917 passed away September 8, 2011 at the age of 94. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ethel Austin; daughter, Mary Carr; husbands, J.M. Colburn, George Brown, and JC Gandy Sr. Anna will be greatly missed by her children Janice Laney and her husband Billy Laney; grandchildren, Raynell Laney, Marilyn and Jackie Johnson, Billie Jo Schooley, Jackie Lynn and Randy Laird, Lorena Johnston, Rhonda and Chuck DuBose, Alisa and Jim Trannel and Jesse Carr. She was blessed with 20 great grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home. Graveside service will be conducted Sunday, 11:00am at Brookside Memorial Park.
