THE SUN DID NOT SET ON THE LIFE OF ANNA MAE CLARK on February 21, 2023, but rather it shined and danced across the blue sky. The chapter of her earthly life came to a close and her heavenly life began. From the day of her birth on May 24, 1948, to Juanita Harvey Smith and Lee Smith Jr., in Polk county Texas, Anna was destined to touch and forever alter the lives of everyone she came in contact with.
Anna was the middle child of 11 siblings. She attended E. O. Smith Elementary School and went on to continue her education as a PCA/CAN later in life. She also got her certification to be drug counselor “At Door To Recovery” and worked for The City Houston for many years.
She was a loving and caring grandmother and adoptive mother of five grandchildren .
Anna is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Harvey Smith; father, Lee Smith Jr.; daughter, Cicely Clark Diaz; sisters, Minnie Ola Singleton, Dorothy Smith, Bettie Smith; brothers, Lee Anderson Smith and John Alvin Smith.
She leaves to mourn her daughter, Angel Clark; sisters, Lillian Darden and Rhodie Mae Batiste; brothers, Samuel Smith, Raymond Smith, Robert Smith; grandchildren, Bridney Clark Diaz, Ambra Clark Webb, Ariel Clark Webb, Taylor Fluces, Miracle Clark Diaz, Faith Clark Diaz, Brooklyn Clark; her granddaughter in love, Brandi Sanders; great grandchildren Grace Dair, London White, Arieanna Leopaul, Amary Thomas, Kayden Washington, Cassidy Leopaul, and Cameron Ramsey and a host of relatives and friends. .
