Anna May Anderson McClellan, age 94, passed in her home, Friday, March 6, 2015. Anna was born on December 8, 1920 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; she was the adopted daughter of Harry E. Geisler and Annie C. Slee of Plum Township, Pennsylvania. While her early years were full of hardship, she was able to overcome them to become a productive adult. For many years she worked in the Pipe Fabrication Industry as a Traffic Manager and Estimator, retiring in 1932. Anna was a devout Christian who loved her Lord and Savior. As a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Brenham, she was loved by all who knew her. She was a free spirit, independent, loved to sing, and at times a little testy and feisty. Anna is preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Alex J. Anderson in 1988; her second husband, John R. McClellan in 2000; her grandson, Keith M. Anderson in 2010; her sister-in-law, Olga E. Anderson Graham in 2012; and her companion dog, Teddy in 2014. Anna is survived by her son, Kenneth F. Anderson and wife Betty of Brenham; her granddaughter, Jill R. Anderson Barrs and husband Michael of Oklahoma; former daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Anderson of Houston; great grandson, Bryar J, Barrs and wife Shelby and their daughter, Allie of Oklahoma; her niece, Eleanor Dodge and husband Lee of Indiana; her step grandchildren: Stephen and Gerald Heugatter and their families; special friends: Harry and Lillian “Red” Futch of Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to Hospice Brazos Valley. A big thank you to Kimberly, Haley, Melissa and Brenda for their kindness, love and care. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, Friday, March 13, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Brenham with Pastor Darren Donaldson officiating.
