with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, forever on January 27, 2015. Ann was a strongwilled
and resourceful woman. She was a hard worker, great mother and grandmother. She
enjoyed life and had an abiding faith. She loved classical music and painting. Ann was a
great artist, despite her statements to the contrary, and her artwork is and always will be
enjoyed, appreciated and cherished by her family and friends. Ann was born on July 9, 1921
in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She came to Houston in the 1930's, where she met the love of her
life, Gordon Hoaglund, in 1940. Ann and Gordon were married on November 6, 1943. They
lived in Bellaire, Texas for over 55 years, until Gordon’s passing on March 1, 1999. Since
2005, Ann has resided at The Forum at Memorial Woods. Her family expresses their
heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at The Bridge for all the care and help they provided
to her until her graduation. Ann is survived by her only son, Allyn Hoaglund, his wife Anna
and her three grandchildren, Hunter, Hayley and Andy Hoaglund. Ann was a long-time
member of the Bellaire Church of Christ. She will be missed beyond measure. A
Celebration of Her Life will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Advantage Funeral Home Chapel located at 7010 Chetwood in Houston, Texas. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in the name of Ann Hoaglund to the
charity of your choice.
