Aniceto Vera was born to the late Miguel Vera and Maria Gonzalez, a laborer and homemaker, in Michoacan, Mexico on May 5, 1953. He came to Houston in June of 1975 and entered his eternal rest on February 28, 2023.
Aniceto was blessed with a large and loving family who deeply cared for him. He was married in 1977 to his beloved wife Marisela Vera (nee Moreno) of 46 years. He is survived by his four sons Enrique Vera, Eduardo Vera, Hector Vera and Ismael Vera and daughter-in-laws Jamie Vera, Kristy Vera and Adriana Vera. He was a loving Grandfather to grandkids Alexandra Vera, Matthew Vera, Elijah Vera, Angel Vera, Isabella Vera and Jocelyn Vera. He is also survived by brothers Alfonso Vera, Felix Vera, Max Vera, Ruben Vera, Roberto Vera and sister Juanita Vera and many nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by brother Alvaro Vera.
Aniceto was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a carpenter for 35 years. He was a joy to be around with never ending laughter and smiles. Aniceto enjoyed spending time with his family, BBQ'ing, watching the Mexican National Soccer team, Houston Astros, Houston Texans and going fishing. He will be missed dearly but will forever live on in our hearts and memories
A visitation for Aniceto will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A rosary will occur Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at 7539 Avenue K, Houston, TX 77012, 7539 Avenue K, Houston, TX 77012. A committal service will occur Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
