She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jose O. Lira, son Joe Elizondo and parents Jose and Andrea Rodriguez.
She is survived by daughters Herlinda Moreno, Mary Alice Cantu and Laura Lira; sons Roberto (Rosario) Elizondo, Santaigo Elizondo, Daniel, Jesus, Ricky, Alex (Sandra) and Mike (Eva) Lira; 33 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren; her lifelong best friend/cousin Cecilia Cazarres; many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 5:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039. With a Rosary at 7:00 PM that evening.
Funeral Mass Service will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, viewing at 9:00 AM and Mass service to follow at 10AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 10500 Nold St., Houston, TX 77016. Interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
