Andrew Alfred Wilkomirski was born on the 3rd of December 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Grazyna and Michael Wilkomirski, and passed away on Sunday, the 3rd of April 2011, at The Methodist Hospital, as a result of cancer.
After serving honorably in the United States Army, Mr. Wilkomirski graduated from Rutgers University, moved to Houston, and became the comptroller of the Texas Medical Center from which he later retired.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nelda, his three children, Michael and wife Shannon, Winston, and Andrea and husband Eric van Hoven; and five grandchildren, Lyla, Baylee, Johnathan, Cole and Devin.
Mr. Wilkomirski is also survived by special sons Rudy Avelar, Moses, Godwin and Gabriel Aduba and Sammy Ferede.
A Memorial Mass is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 13th of April, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road in Houston.
At a later date, the family will gather for a private inurnment service at Houston National Cemetery.
