Anastasia Orologas Odom at peaceful rest after 91 years 11 months. Baptized in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville, Ohio with Holy Reverence for our Lord and Savior, forever strived in following the Golden Rule of Life.
Anastasia (Anna/Ann) is the daughter of Mihail/Mike George Orologas (deceased) and Chrysanthi Constantinides Orologas (deceased), and, Mike Sideropoulos - beloved step-father (deceased), with Joel Woods - honorary step-father (deceased).
Beloved Mother of Christine (Buddy) Wheat, Donald E. Odom, Jr., Francine A. Odom, and Michael W. Odom (deceased).
Adored Grandmother of Teirtsa (Jason) Jackson, Elijah J. Odom (deceased), Tasha (Heath) Foreman, Jacqueline (Derrick) Poteet, Adam C. Wheat, Shawn M. Odom, Jonathan Odom, Michael Taylor Odom, Michelle (James) Hornback;
And, Great-Grandmother of five precious children – Zoe, Mazzy, Dallas, Moriah, and Michael.
Very Dear to Victoria (Jimmy) Orologas Senodenos – Sister (deceased), and, Sylvia (Douglas Wayne) Orologas Robbins – Sister (deceased);
Cherished Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, and, a multitude of wonderful friends.
Anastasia was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio to the age of 16, and moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas where she graduated with honors at Lake Hamilton High School in 1948. Attended Business College in Houston, Texas and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas – Business Management.
As Ann stood high on the shoulders of many courageous women that came before her, she endeavored to climb the corporate ladder even higher, with great tenacity and perseverance as she finally broke that illusory glass ceiling. Anastasia’s remarkable achievement in becoming the very first female to achieve the corporate status of Vice-President of one of Houston, Texas’ most prestigious and productive Oil and Gas Companies - Medallion Oil Company, will live on. She held her position all throughout the Laredo Play Era. During that same time period she also held office of President in 1987 for the women’s Association of Desk and Derrick Club of Houston, Texas Chapter (ADDC) of the Oil and Gas industry.
We are all so blessed and our lives so enriched for knowing and being with her throughout this life’s journey and we will most assuredly meet again in our Grand Heavenly Home above.
Our Dearest, Sweet, Mother/Mom/Yaya/Sister/Aunt/Daughter/Friend is and forever will be Cherished, Remembered and Loved by us all.
