Ana M. Martinez, 94 , passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 in Katy, Texas. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico to her parents Andres Gonzalez Alcala and Eulalia Arquieta Reynoso and was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Petronilo Martinez and by her grandson Rogelio Javier Martinez.
Ana was a loving mother , grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ana enjoyed cooking and baking and was very active she enjoyed going on walks, dancing and singing, loved crafts and was exceptionally talented at sewing, quilting and hand embroidery.
She is survived by her daughters, Maria G. Garcia, Paula N. Simson and her husband Mark, Anna B. Barrera, Blanca E. Suarez and her husband Ignacio,and Delia Ortega. She was also survived by her sons Rogelio J. Martinez and his wife Ada, Fernando P. Martinez and his wife Adriana ; twenty one grandchildren, thirty eight great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 6:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 4:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at St. Bartholomew The Apostle Catholic Church, 5356 11th Street, Katy, Texas 77493. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer, Houston, Texas 77077.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
