Amy was the perfect example of a stay at home mom, raising my brother, Paul, and myself while her husband, Henry, a chief engineer in the merchant marine, was out to sea most of the time.  For example, during WWII, he was gone for over 2 years one time.  Amy did all that was expected of her and more in caring for two boys who were not cooperative at times. Henry and Amy were married for over 50 years, and spent a wonderful retirement together.
