Sharing a few memories on this day... Miss you my friend!

Amber was a kind, loving soul, full of passion and grace. She never missed a holiday, and you always received the most heartfelt hand-packed, beautiful card, complete with stickers.

She loved the “big guy” upstairs and cherished his creatures, large or small. She nursed countless animals back to health. I remember when we lived together and I came home from work to find our dogs in the back yard hanging out with a baby dear wearing a purple cast. Bottle feeding squirrels, possums, raccoons and of course dogs. 

Each holiday she loved making her grandma’s or family recipes. I loved those rasberry cookies and the artichoke dip!!! Or good ole Jalapeño poppers with 2 toothpicks! 

If Amber promised to do something for you, you could always depend on her attention to detail. She would put thought into things and take everything a step higher than you even thought and often suprise you with that.

As a highly skilled veterinary technician, she was relied upon by numerous practices over the years. Her dedication to animals spanned two decades, and many private clients entrusted only her with the care of their beloved pets while they were away. She maintained those relationships with care.

Amber had her own language that never failed to bring a smile to your face, with phrases like "freckle belly," and "butter beans," and she would insist on giving my dog a kiss on the eyeball, saying, “Roni, I mean on the retina!” lol

She was the voice of reason, always willing to offer advice. She also had a great sense of direction. We used to joke she was AmberStar as I'd call from Dallas for directions home lol...you know before smart phones. 

She had a deep love for the ocean, the mountains, and all of nature. We often discussed how standing in front of the mountains made reminded you how small we were in the universe.  We loved taking the ferry to Crystal beach when Darby was young. So so so many good times.

Taken 3 days after Christmas, Amber wanted to show her mom how much she loved the Snuggie (with pockets!) that her mom had given her.

My final pic of Amber is of us on my Wedding day, with her as one of my beautiful bridesmaids. May she truly rest in peace and light up Heaven…maybe even rocking it in a full-length red velvet dress!

Another photo I have of Amber.  She was a lifesaver for us on so many occasions, pet-sitting while we took family vacations. It always gave us peace of mind to know that our animals got great - quite frankly, better - care than we  gave to them!

Two of only a handful of photos I have of Amber. Don’t know what the occasion was but she was clearly captured mid- and post-conversation…and was apparently satisfied with whatever she had said!

My favorite pic of Amber. She was a good human, a kind soul and loved animals more than anyone I ever met. She will be greatly missed. Love you Elmdoggy! Bleeeedooooo! 

one of my favorite memories of my mom is just hearing her speak so highly of everyone all the time and telling me how christina and her came up with " bleedo and elmdoggy" :)

30 years of friendship… we were family! Where to start? So much history and so many memories! You left a hole in our hearts no one can ever fill! We love you Amber!!!
