Amanda Ethel Gardner, age 87, of Angleton, Texas passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. She was born in Benton, Arkansas on August 15, 1934 to parents Hattie and William B. Ingram. Amanda had a passion for collecting angels, costume jewelry, and flowers. She had a strong faith and loved Jesus with all of her being. She was one of the sweetest, kindest people you could ever meet. She cherished her family and there was not a soul she met that she didn’t pray for and asked God to bless. Every conversation ended with “May God bless you, may you sleep with the Angels and I sure do love you, sugar.” She will surely be missed, but we find so much comfort in knowing that she is dancing and singing with Jesus in Heaven.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and father of her 8 children Charles Buddy Gardner; Paul Albert Luhm and step children, Robert Keith Luhm, and Paula Marie Loper; brothers, Patrick Edward Ingram, and William Ingram; sister, Dovie Jewel Ingram Harkleroad and Maxine Ingram Harkleroad Clardy; parents, Hattie WM. Bryant Ingram.
Amanda is survived by her children Margie (Ron) Ashby, Charles Larry Gardner, Bonnie (Mike) Owen, Glenda Luhm Brenda Gee, Debbie (Calvin) Cheney, David (Janice) Gardner, Buddy (Melinda) Gardner; step children, Charlotte Bryant and Melvin Luhm; sister, Nancy Ingram Maurer (Tommy); brother, Gene Ingram (Judy) 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Paul Luhm, Larry Gardner, Joshua Gardner, Billy Hlavinka, Jacob Black, Marcus Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez, Nick Hernandez, Tyler Trammell and honorary pallbearer Charles Larry Gardner (Charlie).
Visitation for family and friends begin on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM. A committal service to follow in Brookside Memorial Park immediately after the funeral service.
