Alvin Louis Hechler

Alvin Louis Hechler “Al” passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the age of 80. Al was born in Crosby, TX to August & Tillie Hechler on September 1, 1934. His sales career began at Schermerhorn Brothers and ended with his retirement from Bekaert Corporation as National Sales Manager.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Hechler, and his children Paul Hechler, Patti Drisko & husband John Drisko, Jeff Hechler & wife Tina Hechler, grandchildren Morgan Drisko and Carson Hechler, two sisters, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Al loved his family, friends, his dogs, his country home and a nice glass of wine.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (4213 Mangum Road, Houston), with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and Mass at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to either the American Diabetes Association, National Kidney Foundation or the Houston SPCA.
