Alma Lopez Reyes, age 65, an immensely beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She passed away at home, in her husband’s arms, surrounded by her children after fighting cancer valiantly for five and a half years.

She would later become grandmother to 10 grandchildren: Betzabeth Joleigh, Riley, Matteo, Alfredo III, Camila, Christian Xavier, Reagan, Arian, Rayan and Julian.
The youngest of 12 siblings, Alma is preceded in death by both her parents: Rogerio Lopez and Maria Acuña, her brothers: Salvador, Eduardo, Faustino, Ernesto and Alfonso Lopez also Ricardo, Everardo, Felipe Acuña and her daughter Deyanira.

She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews who adore her dearly.
Alma was passionate about being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was gathering with her family. She would gather them to sing, dance and play lotería. She loved to travel throughout North, South and Central America and to go on cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean and most recently to the Mediterranean Sea. She also liked trying her luck in the casinos.
She was by far the life of the party, would light up the room with her beautiful smile and make you forget all of your troubles with her contagious laugh. She wore her heart on her sleeve, loved passionately and was loved immensely. She will be held in our hearts and forever missed. May God have her in his glory.
