Allie Elaine Neal Whitehouse Shry, 97, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and devoted friend to all ages passed away on August 30, 2022. Allie Elaine was born in Orange, Texas on March 19, 1925 to Elizabeth Frugé Neal and Robert Darrell Neal.
She was raised in Crowley, Louisiana, and graduated from South Crowley High School. She moved to Texas in 1942 and married the sweetheart of her life and husband of all her children in 1943 and was married for over 44 years. She raised all her children in the Houston and predominately Pearland, Texas area. She was a devoted Catholic who truly and wholeheartedly loved her faith. Allie enjoyed swimming, traveling, bicycling, bluebonnets, and spending time with loved ones.
For the surviving family & friends who know her as a Mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, and beloved friend. She is permanently retired, and she does not plan to return to work! She has accepted a new mission with God that offers a huge bonus, job security, and unlimited vacation to visit loved ones that she has not hugged in a very long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, watching Bruce Willis movies, reading to her heart’s content, listening to Billy Idol & Bobby Bublé music, and where laughter and love are all guaranteed. Food will be delicious with plenty of sugar and salt and she’ll never gain an ounce. Unfortunately, with this new mission in her life, Luby’s and Ross establishments will have lost their most loyal customer. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and have learned many valuable lessons from her during her 97 years.
