Allie Faye Murphy

Allie “Faye” Bedford-Perkins-Murphy was born on November 20, 1949, in Halletsville, TX, to Jessie Mary Bedford Perkins and James Artez Perkins. Family and friends knew Allie as “Faye”, and she was affectionately called “Mama Faye” by the ones she nurtured.

Faye met and married Earnest “King Dog” Murphy in Houston, TX. From their union, they were

blessed with three daughters, Jocquea Perkins (Murphy), Tameika Murphy, Shuntessa Murphy,

and one son, Earnest Murphy III.

Faye was a Certified Nurse Assistant at Hermann Park Manor for many years. Faye was known to be very sociable, lively, outgoing, and extremely passionate about her family. Her generosity and caring spirit brought loved ones together. Her infectious laughter and vibrant energy would brighten up any room.

She could communicate with anyone because she was very compassionate, honest, and straightforward. She always gave the best advice to put any weary mind at ease. Her amusing comedy, joyfulness, and witty personality will be greatly missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She is joined in heaven with her husband, Earnest “King Dog” Murphy; Parents James Artez Perkins and Jessie Mary Bedford Perkins; Brother Lawrence Charles Perkins; Daughters, Jocquea Perkins (Murphy), Tameika Murphy, and Shuntessa Murphy; Granddaughter Jacketha Perkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories Son Earnest Murphy III; Sisters Vivian Perkins, Cassandra Pleasant, and Angela Perkins-Mayfield; Brother, James Perkins, Jr.; Grandchildren, Jacques Perkins, NaToya Murphy (Jacorie Gafford), Jackevian Perkins, Javorrick Perkins, Terrick Tanner, Jashondra Perkins, Joshua Perkins, and Naasir Murphy; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
