Allen graduated from San Jacinto High School, Class of 1967, a proud member of the Golden Bear Guard. He later met Roslyn Elaine Boyce at his sister’s home, they went on to marry Christmas Eve of 2015. Allen grew up in the family business, Doggett and Workman Auto Parts, becoming its Owner/Manager until a catastrophic fire forced its close. He was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, volunteering as a Committeeman for 18 years with Facility Services.
He had a passion for helping people, he loved to laugh and never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by, Allen Lee Workman Jr. his beloved son, his parents Laura Gene and Allen “Sonny” Workman, an infant grandson Allen Lonzo Workman; his grandparents, his brother in law Charles Lee, and sister in law Cheryl Boyce.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Roslyn “Shorty” Boyce-Workman; his daughter Tammy Michele; his grandchildren Allen Lee Workman III, Luis Vargas Jr., Tatianna Vargas and Isabella Vargas; his sister Darlene Lee, his aunt Earlene Stephens; cousins David Tatum, Richard Chandler, and Mary Ellen Rayfield (JB); brothers in law Russell Boyce (Roslyn), and Roland Boyce; his nieces Tracy Lee Young (Brandon), Courtney "Cocoa" Boyce and Brynlee Young; nephews Ryan Boyce (Vanessa), Taylor Boyce, Elijah Boyce, Emmanuel Boyce and Ezekiel Boyce; “Uncle” Joe and “Aunt” Peggy Sandel, Franklin Bulin, Malcome Warren, Francisco Garcia and a host of family, friends and pets.
Serving as Pallbearers Allen Lee Workman III, Ryan Boyce, David Tatum, Luis Vargas Jr., Taylor Boyce, Gerson Sanchez.
