Alicia Gomez

Alicia Gomez, 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep, February 10, 2021. She was born on October 23, 1957 in Laredo, TX to Jose & Tomasa Cabrera. Alicia is preceded in death by her father, Jose Cabrera, Mother, Tomasa Molina, sisters, Nicolasa Molina & Guadalupe Cabrera Muñiz, and her beloved dog, Charles. She is survived by her children: Mario Alberto (Debra) Gomez Jr., Leonel Alberto Gomez, Ruby (Christian Vasquez; grandchildren: Celeste Marie Gomez (21), Mario Alberto Gomez III (16), Railyn Kimora Villalpando, & Lailah Meilani Villalpando; great-granddaughter: Arabella Sauceda; siblings: Rita Cabrera, Maria Cabrera, Xavier (Rosa) Cabrera; and nieces & nephews: George X. Mack, Jacqueline (Robert) Garcia, Xavier (Martha) Cabrera, Ruben (Jennifer) Muñiz,, Jose Luis (Martha) Cabrera; Armando (Sandra) Muñiz, Priscilla Lopez, Jesse (Rachel) Cabrera, Crystal (Christopher) Villarreal; 30 grandnieces & grandnephews and 1 great nephew. Alicia was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, & sister. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, dancing to oldies, watching Golden Girls and making people laugh. She will always be remembered for her charisma, laughter, strength, and most importantly her unconditional love for her family. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Houston Hospice Center for their support and upmost care in Alicia’s final days. Services will be held in Laredo, TX at a later date.
