(26 of May 1933 – 27 of June 2012)
Alicia was born in Alvarado, Veracruz, the daughter of Magdalena Tiburcio and the third of nine siblings: Sara, Arturo, Tere, Luisa, Tristan, Fe Maria, Jesus, and Jorge. She is survived by her husband Rafael Cabrera, her daughters Alicia and Reyna, and her grandchildren Analicia, Aixa, and Adrian.
Alicia is remembered by all who knew her as an incomparable wife, a sacrificing mother, a doting grandmother, a loving sister, and a caring aunt. Above all else, she will forever be remembered as a profoundly faithful woman of God who loved Him and remained loyal to her covenant with Him until the end of her time with us. She was a woman who established God as her priority, serving and giving testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ in the church, her home and refuge, since she arrived in this city over forty years ago.
We give thanks to God for the 79 years he granted us with her because through her life she left us all a legacy of infinite wisdom and powerful memories. We saw in her a strong woman who confronted adversity with her head held high, a woman filled with joy and simplicity, a fighter, a woman perceptive beyond her appearance, a woman who was always responsible and loyal, the very best cook, a sports fanatic, a political enthusiast, and a woman whose clear voice rang sweetly above all others. Despite our profound sadness, we have the most resolute assurance that today she is in her heavenly home in the arms of our loving Savior.
“ Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.”
