Alice Fay North

Alice Fay Newson was born on July 14, 1951 at Polly Ryon Hospital in Richmond, Texas to Frank James Newson (deceased) and Ida Mae Newson. Alice was one of three children: Vivian Jean Murphy (deceased) and Vickie Renee Newson. She is a 1969 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Houston, Texas and a 1973 graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. She pursued the MBA degree in the Colorado State University IBM SURGE PROGRAM. Alice married her husband and best friend of over 40 plus years on July 1, 1972. She began her early career as a public school teacher before starting her employment of over 21 years with the IBM Corporation. She commenced her IBM career as a Senior Administration Specialist in September, 1973 and transitioned out of IBM as a Senior Account Measurements Analyst in November, 1994. Alice worked for Manpower, Inc. IBM/Enron (ESSO); Manpower, Inc. as an Executive Assistant; Manpower, Inc. as a Tech IV/Sales Associate; and Manpower, Inc., as a Technical Writer. Alice was a wonderful, caring, and loving wife and mother. She gave birth to four beautiful children: Henry North, III Ph.D., Frank North, Pharm.D, Alise North, Pharm.D, and Anson North. In God's care she leaves her husband and children, mother, sister, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Viewing will start Monday morning, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m. and the Celebration of her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Garden Oaks Church of Christ, 4926 North Shepherd St., Bro. Alfrod Powers, Officiant and Bro. Gary Smith, Eulogist. Interment - Cemetery Beautiful
