Dear Granny, 

I hope you’ve been relaxing and enjoying all that Heaven has to offer.  Even though it’s been over a decade since you left us, I still think about you often. I wonder what we’d talk about if we had the chance to have a relationship with one another as adults once I’d grown up. I hope I make you proud. Do you know that I’m going to Prague this summer, Granny? I’m keeping it a surprise from everyone at the moment, but I’m sure there’s a way you know. I’ll be taking Czech class there too. I wish I could run back to your house and find you sitting in the kitchen making noodles so that I could show you all of the pictures I’ll take. I love you so much and miss you. 

Moma, I miss you so much.  Every day that goes by the hurt just gets worse. Everyone says it will be better as time goes by.....well to tell you the truth I just don't see that happening.  I miss your phone calls, I miss seeing you at the bus stop and turning around to go get you, and you getting mad at me for not letting you ride the bus. I miss your phone call saying "I fried Pete some chicken wings....come by and get them." I miss our lunches at Triple A too. I miss everything about you. I guess all your friends in Heaven are jealous of you because each one of us kids, grandkids, or even the great grandkids are always talking to you at some point throughout the day about things that are going on in our lives. You are never far from our thoughts. Moma, I love you and I miss you. You live on in each of us.

Dear great Aunt Alice you never knew me and i never knew you but i would like to have known you

Granny....I miss your phone calls, the gossip, the chicken soup and crackers you packed for my lunch, your cabbage soup, prune kolaches and blackberry cobbler, iced tea in a plastic bottle especially for me, vegetable soup, the use of your bathroom while at work (LOL!), a warm bed buddy on Katherine's feet, the pink nightgown laid out for me at the end of the bed, big hugs, Little Red Bug stories, you rolling your eyes at me, and even you getting on to me for being late.  What's not to miss about you?  Thanks for being a wonderful grandmother and thank you so much for helping me care for Katherine during her early years. We were so fortunate to have had you. We got to know you as more than just a grandmother and great-grandmother.  You were my friend.  I will always remember the last night we ever spent together.  "You go to sleep first and then I will."  I love you and miss you dearly.  Not a day has passed that I haven't shed a tear for you. You never judged me; you always loved me.

Granny I just wanted to say that I miss you very much. You were a very great grandmother and I know you will continue to care for and love all of us as you did while you were here on earth. I love you Grando.
