Alex Lenore Jr.

Alex Lenore Jr. was born on January 1, 1939 in Oak Ridge, Morehouse, Louisiana. He made his departure from this world on May 22, 2024. He was the son of William Riley and Cora Lee ‘Gibbs’ and was raised by Alex Lenore. They and his loving wife Winnie Lee ‘Ishup’ Lenore all preceded him in death.

On September 21, 1958 in Rayville Louisiana Alex Lenore Jr. married the love of his life Winnie Lee ‘Ishup’. This proved to be an eternal love which was forever lasting. This union brought the joy of seven children, four sons, three daughters, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Alex was always a loving and dedicated husband. As a father he provided guidance, support, and commitment while loving each of his children dearly. He was the ultimate husband, father and grandfather in every respect.

He left Louisiana in the late 1960s and built a new life for his young family in Houston, Texas which they all call home. Alex was employed as a Transporter and drove tractor trailers nationwide for many years until his retirement. He was a hardworking and dedicated family man who always ensured that his family was provided for.

He was a very driven and passionate man of God that will always be remembered for the love and compassion he demonstrated for his family and friends. Alex Lenore Jr. was a beloved member of The Ark of Restitution Baptist Church for many years and served in the office of deacon.
