Tania graduated from Humble High School and studied graphic design at Lone Star College. She came to the United States in 2000 and, with her father, started a family business that quickly grew to encompass photography, videography, multiple event halls, and much more, celebrating countless weddings and quinceañeras. She was an exceptional photographer, artist, and entrepreneur. She and Heath met in 2008 and each realized they had found their one true love. They married in 2009 and were blessed with the arrival of AJ in 2010. Kind, adventurous, and generous, she poured her heart and soul into her art and family.
She was followed in passing by her son Alejandro Julian "AJ" Vercher on September 30, 2013. AJ was born on December 29, 2010, in Houston, Texas. He was always full of life. AJ was fascinated by Disney World, bright lights, and the game Angry Birds. He showed an early gift for music. Despite his father's hope that he play piano, he clearly had his heart set on being a drummer. He was the light of his mother's eyes, his father's pride and joy, and he brought a smile to all who knew him.
Tania and AJ are survived by husband and father, Heath Vercher; grandparents Robert and Sharon Vercher of Pitkin, Louisiana; parents and grandparents Edmundo and Maria Elizalde of Humble, Texas; grandparent and great-grandparent Julio Elizalde of Humble, Texas; Tania's brothers Ivan Elizalde, Omar Elizalde and wife Alexandra, Erik Elizalde and wife Seidy, Carlos Gallegos, and Tania's sister Thalia Elizalde; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless loved ones.
The world is a better place for their passing through it, though they left us too soon. They forever left their marks on our hearts.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Atascocita United Methodist Church, followed by a graveside service at Brookside Memorial Park.
