Alec Beltran worked as a machinist for the City of Houston for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, home improvement projects, auto repairs & grilling. One of his favorite hobbies was going to Home Depot with his wife, riding on his scooter down the aisles, and shopping for his tools which he liked to joke & call his toys. Music and dancing also brought Alec so much joy. He and his wife had their favorite spot by the garage where they would listen to all sorts of music, dance, and talk for hours. Sometimes they would find themselves outside until the sun came up, and joked, "how they would survive their work day."
Alec also enjoyed watching old cowboys movies and anyone who knew him would have to agree. Prior to his Father's passing, Alec enjoyed and really looked forward to his visits with him, sitting and watching the Houston Texans and Astros games was their special time together that he truly treasured. Alec was truly a jack of all trades and there was no project that was ever too big or small for him to figure out. Teaching or sharing his knowledge with family or friends, especially his granddaughter’s was also a big part of who he was & that knowledge he shared will always be a part of them.
Being a grandfather (Popo) was a big part of his life. He loved creating memories with his grandchildren that they will truly miss but forever cherish. This includes his grandpuppy Bella which he personally gifted to them and shared a very special bond with. Alec was truly a caretaker for his wife, grandkids, and family. He will forever be missed by his wife, family, and friends.
