Addie Jackson was born at 7:30 AM on Sunday morning, April 24, 1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana (Caddo Parish) to the loving union of Will and Bertha Green. Addie was the youngest of her 2 sisters, Willie V. and Lilian.

While married to W.T., Addie was a deaconess at Missionary Baptist Church. She worked inside the home as a doting wife and loving mother. After W.T. lost his battle to cancer in 1966, Addie started working outside the home as a housekeeper. She worked hard and was proud of her ability to care for her family alone. She worked diligently to instill the values of faith, education, cleanliness, hard work, and honesty to her family. Addie was passionate about being a good mother and ultimately became the strong matriarch of her family’s five generations.
