Adam Contreras Jr.

Adam Contreras, Jr. age 39 of Houston, TEXAS passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022. Adam was born July 10th, 1983, in Houston, TX to Adam Contreras Sr. and Irma Salas Contreras. Adam Jr. graduated early from Stephen F. Austin High School had attended Nova Southeastern University and Broward & Houston Community colleges for his undergraduates. He had numerous college courses for Aviation to Specialized classes in Electrical Engineering and Process Technology. He attended Milby’s High School Magnet program & St. Christopher’s & Queen of Peace Catholic schools. He started school at the early age of 3 years of age at the Whitby Montessori Magnet Program. The school only accepted children who scored well on a Gifted entry exam. He excelled highly in Math & Science. He was a Maintenance Electrician Technician for the past 10 years.

Adam was an “Only” child but was blessed with having a large family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins which he considered to being his little sisters, Bianca Soto & Tiffany Flores. He was kind loving and would give you the shirt off his back. He took care of and protected his loved ones. He was energetic, funny and loved to joke and imitate actors and comedians. He performs skits for us from some of his favorite movies and comedians word for word. He had a photogenic memory. He loved to cook. When he cooked, he would spare no expense. If you ate what he cooked, you were eating like a King. He loved Music, Sports, Fishing, Fast cars, his dogs and especially Basketball. He knew every player, every team and who was going to win. He loved to watch movies over and over and played video games as a child. But most of all he loved to entertain. Adam was a great and loving person with a heart as big as they come. He was a very smart and intelligent person. He had knowledge of many things and was willing to learn. He would try to do anything no matter how big or small. He left us way to soon and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Adam is survived by his Mother and Father, Irma Salas Contreras and Adam Contreras Sr (Silvia Martinez), Godparents: Michael & Cheryl Romero; Paternal Grandparents: David Contreras, Maternal Grandparents: Reynaldo and Isabelle Salas. Aunts and Uncles: JoAnn Salas; Troy Contreras & Richard Martinez; Kimberly & Abraham Rodriguez; David Jr & Olivia Contreras; Richard & Ana Contreras; Joey & Norma Calvillo; Cynthia & Cirillo Ojeda; Isaac & Rita Calvillo; His Cousins: Bianca & Juan Soto, Tiffany Flores; Jeremy & Avonel Rodriguez; Veronica Rodriguez, Melissa Contreras, Michael Contreras, Christopher Contreras, Jason Contreras, Jacob Contreras and Josh Contreras. Crystal Calvillo, Ray Calvillo, Moises Calvillo, Chris Calvillo, Isaac Calvillo, Jr, Isabelle Calvillo and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Adam is preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers,Maternal: Martha Diaz Castro (Aka: Wela); Paternal: Sylvia Farris Contreras (Aka: Mee-maw). These two beautiful women were the love of his life.

A visitation for Adam will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A rosary service will occur Friday, August 19, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Pl Blvd, Houston, TX 77017. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
