Abdula D. Hasan was born December 21, 1946 in Richmond, Virginia to Albert John Collins and Elreta Gibson Collins. Abdula was the first son born of six boys and one girl. Abdula D. Hasan graduated from Armstrong High school in Richmond, Virginia. After high school he served in the United States Air Force. He married Terri Semprini and conceived two children, Damu and Oneika. Years later he met and married Doretta Anderson and conceived two sons, Jamal and Jabbar. They moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for Louis and Co. where he retired. Abdula was a dedicated Christian and family man as well as supporter and volunteer for BMA (Barry's Martial Arts) where his sons excelled in every arena. He strived deeply to be involved in the lives of his children. He is preceded in death by both parents, sister Allison Collins, wife Doretta Hasan, son Jamal Hasan and sister-in-law Rosemary A. Price. Abdula D. Hasan leaves to cherish his memories: (Ex-Wife); Terrie Collins; Two sons, Damu Collins, Jabbar Hasan, One daughter Oneika Collins. One sister, Janet Williams, five brothers, Allen L. Collins, Larry L. Collins, Michael W. Collins, Dennis Hasan, Danny O'Keith Collins; One brother-in-law, Morrell Price Jr.; Two sisters-in-law, Paulette Collins, Linda Collins, Catherine Collins, a host of nieces, nephews and life long friends William and Mary Eaton.
