Aaron graduated from Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas where he was a JROTC Cadet. One of his special achievements was the BNCO for the JROTC. After high school, Aaron attended community college and that’s when he realized that his calling was to enlist in the United States Army. He enlisted in the U.S. Army March 26, 2013. Aaron proudly served his Country for 9 years as a Ranger and also a Jumpmaster. SGT Wilder’s awards and decorations include two Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, one Joint Service Achievement Medal, two Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal, and the Parachutist Badge. Sgt. Aaron Wilder followed his father Corey’s footsteps by becoming a Ranger.
Sgt. Aaron Wilder enjoyed a challenge of competitive card games as well as disc golf, but above all his true passion was his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth A. Krolczyk and husband Tommy; Sisters, Cassandra Phillips, Crystal Russell and husband Rocky; Brother, Jared Krolczyk; Grandparents, Allen and Becky Wilder, Carolyn and Coleman Burnett, Donna and Rick Adrian, Carrie Rowe; Great Grandparents, Jim and Kathy Nicholson; Step-Parents, Star Wilder, Stephen Phillips and wife Rachael; and many other loving relatives and friends. He had three amazing men in his life that he called dad, Corey Wilder, Stephen Phillips, and Tommy Krolczyk.
Sgt. Aaron is preceded in death by his father, Corey Wilder and Grandfather, James Bruce.
A Gathering will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00am with a Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00am at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. A Committal Service will be held at 12:15pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 with military honors to be rendered.
