William Singleton, Jr., 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at 5:15 a.m. Visitation will be at Dularge Community Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. He is survived by: his wife, Joyce Williams-Singleton; one son, Jerod (Malerie) Singleton; one daughter, Carolyn Singleton; five brothers, Calvin Singleton, Sr., Lawrence (Gwendolyn) Singleton, Sr., Lionell (Betty) Singleton, Ronald Wayne Singleton, and Tellis Levy; five sisters, Joycie Singleton, JoAnn Givens, Pamela Diggs, Sherry Allridge, and Thersea Singleton; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents, William, Sr. and Irene Ruffin-Singleton; one brother, Edward C. Singleton; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Singleton; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Ruffin, Sr. Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
