A memorial service will be observed on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM at First Corinthian Baptist Church.
He is survived by his lifelong friend, Phyllis M. Williams. Sons; Owens Blakely, Jr. (Letha Conswellia Blakely); Kardale Marshall (Jalessa K. Marshall) and Albert Blakely. Sisters; Dorothy M. Blakely; Pastor Rosie E. Evans (Charles Evans); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Blakely and Odie Mae Steward. Brothers; Albert Blakely; Falder Blakely and Harold Copeland. Sisters; Earleen Sims and Willie Bell Travis. Nieces; Wytina Green and Joyce Terrell and nephews; Phillip Travis and Pernell Blakely.
