Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Residence Baptist Church, 2605 Isaac Street in Houma. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Frederick Porche; daughters, Teneke Carter (Chris), Tager Porche, and Mariah Jones; six grandchildren; brothers, Albert Lyons, Sr. (Beulah) and William Lyons, Sr.; sisters, Elizabeth Smith, Evelyn Madison (Leroy), and Ida Porche (Norman); and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Lyons; maternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth Robinson Smith; brothers, Joseph Thompson, Sr. Jessie J. , Charles and Eddie Lyons.
