Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Luke Baptist Church, 3755 Bayou Black Drive, Houma, LA., with Pastor Haywood Sims, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Gibson, LA.
He is survived by: his wife, Doresia "Dory" Gibson; his parents, Lloyd and Willie Mae Gibson; two sons, Justin (Marsheila) and Caden Gibson; two daughters, LaShawn Gibson and Jada Cook; one sister, Tammy Gibson; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: one sister, Chanda Gibson; his paternal grandparents, Lawless and Hazel Gibson; and his maternal grandparents, George and Gertrude Bogen.
He was a Lieutenant with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office and dedicated twenty-four years of public service in law enforcement.
