James Louis Ross

A visitation and Celebration of Life for James will be held Friday, September 27,2024 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360. Interment following service Garden of Memories Cemetery 3658 W Main St, Gray, LA 70359.

James is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pamela W. Ross; his sons, Christopher, Louis, Alexander Ross (Margarita) and Jamari Brown; daughters, Koike Brown, Kanjaney Walker (Micheal), and Wakisha Townsend Brenna Butler; sisters, Bettie Williams (Tom), Donna Johnson (Howard) and Carrie Owens; daughter- in-laws, Wendy S. Brown and Clois Ross; sisters-in-laws, Carolyn Ross, Cynthia Norman; brothers-in-laws, Cornell Norman, Ulysses Short and Roy Robinson; Granddaughter in law,Sadie Parfait, 18 Grandchildren, 4 Great grandchildren, Godchildren, Charles Johnson (Meka), Rasheedah Shelvin and Ani'Rein Norman Almeshad D. Scott ; two very good friends, Jessie and Duann McKenzie; A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

James was preceded in by his parents, Elijah and Gertrude Ross; first wife, Ernestine Short Ross; daughter, Juashika Ross; granddaughter, Christina Ross; brothers, Louis James, Elijah III and Robert Lee Ross; sister, Cora Lee Ross; brother-in-law, Roland Owens; mother-in-law, Lucille W Williams; and a son, Alonzo Brown III.
