Visitation will be observed on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Bethlehem Church of God In Christ in Patterson, LA, from 9:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM, with Elder Tate., Officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the Shields Cemetery in Patterson, LA.
Memories of Edward will forever remain in the hearts of his wife of fifty-three years, Delores Favors Butler of Patterson, LA; one son, Karl Glen (Stephanie) Butler of Harvey, LA; two daughters, Gloria McGuire of Patterson, LA and Patricia Watts of South Carolina; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Butler Sr. and Katie Smith Butler; a grandson, Kindsey Butler; seven brothers, Dan Butler, Jr., Raymond Butler, Spugen Butler, Charles Butler, Warren Butler, Albert Butler, and Milton Butler; two sisters, Aline Butler Pluet and Velma Butler.
