Daisy Grant Jackson, 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, LA died Monday, March 4, 2013 at 12:35 a.m. Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until Funeral time at 10:00 a.m. at Sunlight Baptist Church, 952 Bull Run Road. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. She is survived by three sons: Raynoble, Roy (Ann Marie) and Rev. Terryl (Jewelhelene) Jackson; three daughters, Marvalis Diane (Ernest) Hall, Vanester J. Lagarde, and Berryl J. (Patrick) Merrill; and four brothers; McKinley Grant, Ambrose (Clara), Edward Charles (Sherry), and Sterling (Gaydell) Nixon; two godchildren; Larry Swan and Gustavia Charles; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Southern Jackson, Jr. and her parents; McKinley Grant, Sr. and Rose Navarre Nixon.
